HOW DO I....
Renewing a License
Applicator Licenses
- Renewal notices are mailed approximately two months before the license's expiration date.
- There is a renewal fee of $10 payable to the Structural Pest Control Board. For Applicators renewing on or before December 31st, 2008, there are no continuing education requirements.
- Any Applicator renewing on or after January 1st, 2009 will be required to have completed 12 hours of continuing education. Of these 12 hours, 4 hours must be in Rules & Regulations and 8 hours must be in pesticide application and use.
- Regulation Update concerning the new Applicator requirements
- List of approved Applicator Continuing Education courses
- The renewal form must be signed and dated, you must declare how many hours of continuing education you completed (if required), and complete the address section if your mailing address has changed.
Field Representative and Operator Licenses
- Renewal notices are mailed approximately two months before the June 30th expiration date.
- Field Representatives have a renewal fee of $30 with a delinquent fee of $15.
- Operators have a renewal fee of $120 with a delinquent fee of $60.
- The renewal form and fee payable to the Structural Pest Control Board are to be postmarked on or before June 30th or they will be considered delinquent. A license will remain on delinquent status for 90 days. If a license is not renewed by the end of the 90 day delinquent period, the license will be cancelled.
- There are continuing education requirements for Field Representatives and Operators. Licensees are required to complete 8 hours of Rules & Regulations, 4 Technical hours in each branch the individual is licensed in, and 4 additional hours.
- List of approved Continuing Education courses
- The renewal form must be signed and dated, you must declare how many hours of continuing education you completed, and complete the address section only if your mailing address has changed.
The Renewal Form
- The renewal form is not available online. If you do not receive your renewal form by June 1st, contact the Board's licensing unit to request that a duplicate notice be generated. Make sure to complete either the change of address form or the transfer of employment form to ensure the Board has current and accurate information.
- The most important section is displayed below. This section is where you declare, under penalty of perjury, your continuing education hours. You must also sign and date this section. Failure to declare your hours or failure to sign or date your renewal form will prevent your license from being renewed and also subject you to the delinquent fee.
